  1. I’m always wondering whether the car itself can detect whether it’s driving across an Attack Mode zone and enabling itself that boost, or is it just judges watching in the sidelines, controlling the power output switches to the cars remotely?

  2. Pilots are racing, managing strategy with trajectories, trails, power consumption, overheating, regen.
    Pilots, now you are FORCED to trade a bad trajectory for a few minutes with extra power. Multiple times in each race, too. We want you to be overtaken and then overtake immediately after. You may be lucky finding a good timing for following the bad trajectory with no one on your six, or unlucky not being able to overtake in the next few minutes. Anyway, you have to increase risks of crashing, and show artificial action drama to spectators who already know that it's artificial. All in all, my personal opinion keeps being: attack mode = pointless disturbance.
    Things would be much different if pilots had the opportunity to choose IF and WHEN to engage a little extra power, without gates to pass through: like in those days when F1 had turbos, boost up to help with overtaking, but the more you boost up and the more fuel (= energy) you will have to save to get to the checkered flag. That would be an interesting strategic tool!

  3. I'm not very entertained by watching cars with a power difference pass each other; just because the commentators sound excited doesn't mean real motorsport fans are excited by these passes. There are so many good overtakes in FE that happen without Attack Mode being involved. Those are the best passes in the series: the ones that aren't artificially generated. And there are more than enough of those to make the racing plenty exciting. I guess I just can't relate with the "general viewing public"'s need to have excitement crammed down their throats…this is such a great series without Attack Mode, I remain baffled by the popularity of this.

  4. I love Attack Mode just as much as a inversely hate Fan Boost. Whilst both mix things up and require clever use, one is offered to all, while the other is based on a popularity contest – which has no place in a real sport.
